Appellation : Beaujolais Villages Appellation Contrôlée
Varietal : Gamay
Soil : Granite
Place : The producing area includes the commune of Villefranche sue Saône as well as five other communes further South in the district of L'Abresle, for the Rhône Department and the territory of the commune of la Chapelle de Guinchay for the Department of Saône et Loire.
Maximum yield : 55 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 12-14°C
Color : Bright red color with purple nuances
Taste : Red and black berries (raspberry, black currant) with a hint of banana. This wine is lively, well balanced, fruity and easy to drink.

To be enjoyed for aperitif or with starters, red and white meat, grilled or en sauce. It stands up very well with certain cheeses.

BEAUNE CLOS DU ROI 1er CRU 1996

Varietal : Pinot noir
Soil : limestone with clay
Place : Appellation area " Clos du Roi " on a fold in the hill, this old properly of the King of France covers 3 hectares
Maximum yield : 40 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 15-17°C
Color : dark ruby color with purple nuances.
Nose : Blackcurrant and morello cherries_
Taste : Aromas of red berries and delicate oak nuances.

This wine is well balanced, generous and very elegant. Aromatic, it develops clean red fruit notes enhanced by an appealing texture. The finish is long and subtle. Perfect to drink now but still an excellent ageing capacity.

To be enjoyed with red meat grilled or en sauce and French cheese.

NUITS SAINT GEORGES 1997

Appellation : Nuits Saint Georges Contrôlée
Varietal : Pinot Noir
Soil : Marl and limestone
Place : The production area is in the commune of Nuits Saint George: in the Côte de Nuits
Maximum yield : 40 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 14?16°C
Color : Deep color with purple nuances.
Nose : Good oak and complex mixing of aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, truffle as well as spices.
Taste : This wine has a good balance, a full body and a good constitution. Both tannins and fruit are ripe. It is perfect to drink now but can still mature for several years in the cellar.

To be enjoyed with mild cheeses, all land of roast meat and poultry in red sauces.

POMMARD

Appellation : Pommard Appellation Contrôlée
Varietal : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay, chalk and silica
Place : Pommard is a village located in the Côte de Beaune between Beaune and Volnay. The village is right in the middle of a group of vineyards.
Maximum yield : 40 h1/ha
Service Temperature : 13?16°C
Color : Fairly deep ruby
Taste : Intense aromas of ripe red fruit aromas enhanced by spicy nuances and subtle oak flavors. This wine is powerful and well?balanced. It is fleshy, harmonious and mellow with round tannins. This wine has a long aftertaste. To drink now up to 5 years.

To be enjoyed with red meat game or strong cheeses.

SANTENAY 1999

Appellation : Santenay Appellation Contrôlée
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone mixed with clay.
Place : The area of production is located in the commune of Santenay in the south of the Côte de Beaune.
Maximum yield: 40 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 14-16°C
Color : fairly deep ruby
Taste : red berries mingled with violet.

This wine is elegant and appealing. It possesses rich aromas of red fruit (cherries) with a good tannic structure. Fleshy, well balanced and harmonious, it has a lot of character.

To be enjoyed with roast meat or meat " en sauce ", game and most cheeses.

CORTON-VERGENNES GRAND CRU 1999

Appellation : Gorton Gland Cru Contrôlée
Varietal : Chardonnay
Soil : limestone with clay.
Place : In the area called "Corton?Vergennes", on mid slope of the hill of Cortun, facing East, above Ladoix village. A small part of the area is planted in Chardonnay.
Maximum Yield : 35 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 12 ºC
Color : pale yellow
Nose : fresh fruit, flinty character with a touch of fear oak.
Taste : good attack on the Fruit. mingled with a flinty and oaky touch. It is well?balanced with a great purity. Good concentration and complexity. Fresh and long on the finish. Still young but a good ageing potential. Drink after 2002. through 2005.
Wine/Food : shellfish, white meat or medium cheeses (camembert).

PULIGNY MONTRACHET 1999

Appellation : Puligny Montrachet Appellation Contrôlée
Varietal: Chardonnay
Soil : Clay and chalk
Place : South Côte do Beaune where the best and most classic White Burgundies come from.
Maximum yield : 40 hl/ha
Service Temperature : 12-14°C
Color : Pale gold color with emerald tinges.
Nose : Green almond and yellow fruit (pear) mingled with vanilla.
Taste : This wine is elegant and appealing. It releases fragrances of accacia flower mingled bread and butler and honey enhanced by a hint of oak. It is well?structured, full?bodied and slightly spicy with a long aftertaste.

To be enjoyed with foie gras, grilled fish, shell fish, white meat "en blanquette" and some strong cheeses (Epoisses, Roquefort, Munster).
